Ditchfield Azameti, I hail from Lagbati-ESAMƐ Anloga, in the Volta Region. My father was the late Torgbui Avege II of Anloga, and my mother was the late Hudzengor Kuatozi from Avenorpedo.
I joined navigation in Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire in 1960. Graduated from Nautical School in France in 1975, and became the first Ghanaian Sea Captain to navigate Frances’s Trawler Jeanne D’Arc from France to Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire in October 1975. I worked and lived in Côte D’Ivoire for 43 years. Retired and moved to the United States of America in 2003, enjoying my retirement in Bronx, New York.
